This unique programme combines a doctorate at a scientific university with the MBA at the Collège des Ingénieurs.
PhD & MBA: 4 years, 2 degrees
Science and Management is a programme that enables scientists to complete their doctorate and our MBA at the same time. For years, we have been cooperating with prestigious institutions in France, Germany and Switzerland. As a result, our research and management, to this extent, within a dual programme is unique throughout Europe. The PhD candidates benefit from pursuing their research and venturing into the business world at the same time.
Combining research and management
Science and Management candidates take intensive management courses at the Collège, which already coincide with their PhD.
Tailored workshops focusing on innovation and a full MBA curriculum covering topics such as strategy, finance, innovation, entrepreneurship, organization and leadership.
The corporate mission (27 weeks) is completed after the candidate has defended his or her thesis.
Science & Management also means a network of 75 PhD students in Europe preparing for a career in management, embedded in a community of 120 MBA Fellows and more than 3,000 alumni worldwide.
It is a unique opportunity to complete a PhD, gain relevant management know-how and of course, set foot in the real business world.
Open to all engineering and science disciplines
Science and Management is designed for doctoral candidates from all academic disciplines in engineering and the sciences. We have built strong relations with the Sorbonne Université in Paris and the Karlsruhe Institut of Technology (KIT) in Germany and as well with the Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa, and have an official agreement with theses universities.
Every year, some 25 PhD-Fellows start in the programme. Fellows have also completed the Science & Management programme in cooperation with other universities such as LMU and TU Munich, Aachen, Paris Saclay, PSL, ETH Zürich and Lausanne or Oxford.
