Italian President awards CDI Alumni Start-up Omnidermal Biomedics

The Omnidermal Biomedics Start-up founded by Alberto Uberti and Jacopo Secco, alumni of the Collège des Ingénieurs respectively of the 2015 and 2017 intakes, received the "Leonardo Start-up Award 2018" by the Leonardo Committee, being considered as a highly innovative and technological start-up.

The event held at Palazzo Barberini was organized by Comitato Leonardo, a committee set up in 1993 through the joint initiative of Confindustria and ICE that nowadays counts several associated companies with a cumulative turnover of more than 321 billion euros. The Leonardo Awards honour Italian companies representing excellence made in Italy who are a symbol of quality, innovation and technology. The President of the Italian Republic Sergio Mattarella, Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte, the Minister of Economic Development Luigi Di Maio, the President of the Leonardo Committee Luisa Todini, the President of the ICE Agency Carlo Ferro and the President of Confindustria Vincenzo Boccia led the event.

Founded in January 2016, Omnidermal Biomedics bases its core business on applying artificial intelligence to dermatology by implementing, with the collaboration of doctors and health professionals, devices of the future: easy to use, fully automated and equipped with artificial intelligence.
Omnidermal wants to provide highly technological and reliable devices to dermatology specialists in the diagnosis phase and in the allocation of therapy with the aim of helping them monitor ulcers, reduce healing time and improve patients' quality of life.

An example is Wonder Viewer, a first-class device capable of acquiring and automatically processing wound images in a few minutes and providing the specialist with basic parameters of the lesions including the organisation of information in digital medical folders.

The Collège des Ingénieurs congratulates on receiving this important award and wishes the alumni Alberto Uberti and Jacopo Secco that this is just one of the many awards they obtain during their career.
