Professor Andreas Grüner

Professor Grüner is a professor for business studies at the University of St. Gallen (Switzerland). His main fields of research are Corporate Finance and Management Accounting. Furthermore, he focuses on Alternative Investments / Private Equity, Asset Management / Portfolio Management, Investment Management, Performance Measurement and Reporting. He holds a Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering from the Technical University of Darmstadt and a PhD in Finance and Banking from the University of Bayreuth (both in Germany). He habilitated in Finance and Accounting from the University of St. Gallen.
At the Collège, Prof. Grüner teaches the famous Accounting Class together with Prof. Fickert. The Fellows of the Collège analyze companies with a focus on their finances. In addition, the class includes aspects of corporate strategy and corporate governance. The Fellows work in international groups and present their results at the end of the week.
